Manufacturer Aims to Raise $400,000 For Breast Cancer Charities
LOS ANGELES, CA. September 25, 2015 — Brighton is excited to support breast cancer charities across
the US with its 13th annual Power of Pink Program. Brighton is dedicated and has a deep history of
giving back to the communities that they do business in. Brighton’s goal is to raise $400,000 for Breast
Cancer organizations through the sale of its exclusive Power of Pink bracelets and leather goods.
The intention of Brighton’s Power of Pink promotion is to raise money in support of local breast cancer
charities. “Breast cancer touches everyone; a mother, sister, or friend – we all know someone who has
been affected by this disease,” Jerry Kohl explains, “The more we all give, the sooner we’ll reach a cure.”
Brighton believes it’s important to give back to the communities that they have stores in. Each Brighton
store works with one or two organizations, in their community, that support breast cancer treatment,
prevention, research and aftercare.
Brighton is offering two different Power of Pink bracelets that can be layered together or worn separately.
A $10 donation will be made for every Power of Pink bracelet Brighton sells, between September 25th and
November 15th. The Power of Pink Legacy Bracelet sells for $60, and the pink leather Woodstock
Bracelet (which is a customizable charm bracelet) sells for $50. In addition to the bracelets, there are
limited edition pink leather accessories – and 10% of the proceeds from each leather item purchased will
also be donated to breast cancer charities.
Brighton’s passion for this cause speaks to the core values of the business since its inception. The owners,
Jerry and Terri Kohl, started their company over 40 years ago, and they hoped to have a different kind of
company that would be run from the heart. The Kohl’s believe in treating their customers and employees
in the way they love to be treated and giving back to the communities where their 190 Brighton
Collectibles stores are located.
As a part of #BrightonGivesBack, Brighton has donated $9.5 million to charitable organizations. Power
of Pink is just one of Brighton's many charitable initiatives that Brighton is involved in each year.
Brighton also supports a variety of charities including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Soles 4
Souls, local organizations that support children in the arts and women re-entering the work force.
